Terms of Use

Effective: September 8, 2026 · Last Updated: September 8, 2026

Correct.lk - Fair use, secure accounts and responsible learning.

Important User Commitment

Your Correct.lk account and four-character User ID belong to you. Remember your User ID, protect your credentials, use learning content only for personal educational purposes, and use the correct payment reference for every direct bank deposit.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Correct.lk website, applications, live and recorded classes, learning materials, assessments, communications and related services (together, the "Services"). Correct.lk is operated by Web3 Genes (Pvt) Ltd of Level 13, MAGA ONE, No. 200, Nawala Road, Colombo 05 ("Correct.lk", "we", "us" or "our").

By creating an account, enrolling, paying for or using any Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If the user is under 18, the parent or legal guardian approving the account or purchasing the Service agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf and remains responsible for supervising the child's use. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms form an electronic agreement. Nothing in them excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Sri Lankan consumer or other applicable law.

2. Age and Account Eligibility

  • The minimum age to use Correct.lk is 8.
  • A child aged 8–12 may use Correct.lk only through a parent- or guardian-approved account after the required verifiable parental consent is obtained.
  • A person registering or consenting for a child confirms that they are legally able to do so and that the information supplied is accurate.
  • A child under 8 must not create or use an account. We may suspend and remove an ineligible account.
  • Age, guardian and account information is handled under the Correct.lk Privacy Policy.

3. Your User ID

Each registered user receives a unique four-character Correct.lk User ID, for example P7QS. The User ID identifies the student or user within enrolment, support and payment processes.

  • Remember or securely record your User ID. You may be asked to provide it when enrolling, paying, contacting support or resolving an account issue.
  • Do not deliberately use another person's User ID or allow another person to represent themselves using yours.
  • A User ID is not a password and may appear in payment references or administrative records. You must still protect all passwords, one-time codes and recovery information.
  • Correct.lk may change, correct or replace a User ID where reasonably necessary to prevent duplication, error, fraud or security risk.

4. Account Security and No Account Sharing

  • An account is personal to the registered user. Unless Correct.lk expressly provides a family or institutional feature, it may not be transferred, sold, rented, lent or shared.
  • Never share your password, OTP, login link, recovery code or other account credential with another student or any unauthorised person.
  • A parent or guardian may access a linked child account only through the parent/guardian controls or another method authorised by Correct.lk.
  • Use accurate, current information and promptly update changes.
  • Notify us immediately at support@correct.lk if credentials are lost, disclosed or used without permission.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent permitted by law, except where caused by Correct.lk's failure to use reasonable security.
  • We may require password resets, additional verification or temporary account restrictions to protect users and the platform.

5. Enrolment and Availability

Programme descriptions, fees, schedules, language, mentor, duration, prerequisites, seat limits and included resources will be shown before enrolment or communicated through an official Correct.lk channel. Enrolment is confirmed only when any required approval and payment have been successfully verified.

  • Access is limited to the programme, batch, period and user stated in the enrolment.
  • Seats, mentor availability and programme dates may be limited.
  • Correct.lk may reasonably reschedule a class, substitute a suitably qualified mentor, correct an obvious description or pricing error, or modify content to maintain quality, safety or syllabus alignment.

6. Fees, Payment and Payment Verification

Fees are displayed or communicated in Sri Lankan Rupees or another stated currency. The user or payer is responsible for confirming the programme, amount, User ID and payment details before making payment. Bank and payment-provider charges, exchange-rate differences and taxes may apply as stated at checkout.

6.1 Payment Gateway

You may pay through the payment gateway provided in the Correct.lk portal. Follow the checkout instructions and use only authorised payment pages. A gateway status marked pending, failed or cancelled does not confirm enrolment. If money is debited but confirmation is not received, do not repeatedly pay; contact support with the transaction details.

6.2 Direct Bank Deposit or Transfer

If you pay by direct bank deposit or bank transfer, you must enter the programme-specific payment reference supplied by Correct.lk in the online banking reference/remark field or write it clearly on the bank deposit slip.

Required Reference Format

Example: P7QS/M004/26 - the first four characters (P7QS) are the student/user's Correct.lk User ID. M004/26 represents the programme or payment reference provided for that enrolment. Use the complete reference exactly as given.

  • Do not omit the User ID, shorten the reference, substitute a name, or use another student's reference.
  • When a bank restricts the number of characters, contact Correct.lk before payment for an approved shortened reference.
  • Upload or submit a clear payment slip/receipt through the designated payment portal, showing the date, amount, bank transaction/reference number and required Correct.lk payment reference.
  • Do not post payment slips publicly or send them to unofficial accounts. A slip may contain personal or financial information.
  • A bank deposit is not automatically matched. Access may remain pending until the funds and reference are verified.
  • If the required reference is missing, incorrect or unreadable, verification may be delayed or may require the payer to provide additional proof. Correct.lk is not responsible for access delays caused by an incorrect reference, wrong account, incorrect amount or insufficient proof, but will make reasonable efforts to trace a genuine payment.

6.3 Receipts, Duplicate Payments and Chargebacks

  • Keep the original receipt or digital transaction confirmation until the payment appears in your Correct.lk account.
  • Report a duplicate or incorrect payment promptly with supporting details.
  • Do not initiate a dishonest chargeback or falsely claim that an authorised payment was unauthorised. We may suspend access while a genuine payment dispute is investigated.
  • Corrections and refunds will be made to the original payer or payment method where reasonably possible, after verification and subject to law.

7. Cancellations, Refunds and Expiry

Refunds, cancellations, transfers and credits are governed by the refund/cancellation terms displayed for the relevant programme and by applicable law. Correct.lk's approved refund policy is available at: [TODO: add refund policy URL or summary].

  • A request must include the User ID, programme, payment reference, payer details, reason and proof of payment.
  • Starting or substantially consuming live classes, recordings, downloadable resources or assessments may affect eligibility to cancel or receive a refund, only to the extent permitted by law and clearly disclosed before purchase.
  • Failure to attend, loss of credentials or failure to use available access does not automatically create a refund right.
  • If Correct.lk cancels a paid programme and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, it will provide an appropriate refund or credit as required by the published policy and law.
  • Programme access may expire on the stated date. Expiry does not transfer ownership of content to the user.

8. Licence to Use the Services and Content

Subject to payment, eligibility and these Terms, Correct.lk grants the registered user a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the enrolled content for private educational use during the stated access period. No ownership or intellectual-property right is transferred.

Correct.lk and its licensors retain rights in lessons, videos, recordings, questions, explanations, graphics, software, designs, databases, trademarks, course structures and other materials ("Content").

9. Prohibited Content Use

Unless Correct.lk gives prior written permission or applicable law expressly allows it, users must not:

  • sell, resell, sublicense, rent, exchange or commercially exploit any Content or account access;
  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, upload, broadcast, screen-record, download using unauthorised tools, or share classes or Content outside the permitted account;
  • photograph, record or capture assessment questions, answer explanations, instructor material or another participant without authorisation;
  • remove watermarks, copyright notices, access controls or identifiers;
  • translate, adapt, create derivative products from, scrape, index or compile Content for redistribution;
  • use Content to train, fine-tune, benchmark or populate an external artificial-intelligence system, question bank, competing course or commercial service; or
  • claim Correct.lk Content, certificates, scores or instructor work as their own.

Reasonable personal notes are permitted. Any download feature provided by Correct.lk remains subject to the same personal-use restrictions and may expire with programme access.

10. Acceptable Use and Platform Misuse

Users must use the Services lawfully, safely and respectfully. You must not attempt to:

  • gain unauthorised access to another account, administrative area, database, server, API, class or paid programme;
  • guess credentials, bypass payment or access controls, exploit bugs, reverse engineer protected components, or probe security without written authorisation;
  • introduce malware, harmful code, automated traffic, bots, denial-of-service activity or excessive requests;
  • scrape user information or Content, harvest contact details, or automate registrations, answers or assessments;
  • manipulate scores, attendance, certificates, rankings, payment records or referral benefits;
  • impersonate another person, provide false documents, or mislead teachers, support staff or payment providers;
  • harass, bully, threaten, discriminate against, groom, exploit or endanger a child or another user;
  • upload unlawful, harmful, defamatory, sexually explicit, privacy-invasive or infringing content; or
  • encourage, assist or conceal another person's breach of these Terms.

Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to [TODO: add security email]. Do not access, retain or disclose another person's data while reporting a security issue.

11. Live Classes, Communication and Recordings

  • Join classes using the registered name or approved display name and follow reasonable mentor instructions.
  • Do not share class links, meeting IDs, recordings, chat content or participant details with unauthorised persons.
  • Keep microphones and cameras under appropriate control and use respectful language and backgrounds.
  • A class may be recorded only where users are notified and the recording is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements.
  • Users must not independently record a class or another participant unless Correct.lk and every legally required person has authorised it.
  • Correct.lk may moderate, mute, remove or restrict a participant to protect safety, learning continuity or privacy.

12. Assessments and Academic Integrity

Unless an assessment expressly allows collaboration, open materials or AI assistance, the registered student must complete it personally and follow the stated rules.

  • Do not obtain, share, sell or publish confidential questions or answers.
  • Do not use another person, prohibited software, unauthorised AI assistance or multiple accounts to complete an assessment.
  • Do not falsify identity, attendance, progress, results or supporting evidence.

Suspected misconduct may result in review, cancellation of a result, loss of certificate eligibility or account action. Where the outcome is significant, the user will be given a reasonable opportunity to explain, subject to safety and legal constraints.

13. User Submissions

You retain ownership of original assignments, messages and other material you submit. You grant Correct.lk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, adapt and use that submission only as reasonably necessary to deliver, secure and improve the Services, assess work, provide feedback and meet legal obligations. This licence ends when the material is deleted, except for lawful retention, backups and de-identified use.

You must have the right to submit the material and must not include unnecessary personal information or another person's confidential or copyrighted material.

14. Privacy and Children's Data

Our collection and use of personal data is explained in the Correct.lk Privacy Policy. It includes the minimum age of 8, verifiable parent/guardian consent for children under 13, data-minimisation commitments and parental rights. These Terms and the Privacy Policy should be read together. If there is a conflict about personal-data handling, the Privacy Policy and applicable law prevail.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may integrate payment gateways, video-class systems, messaging tools, cloud services or external links. Third-party terms and privacy notices may apply. Correct.lk is responsible for its own obligations and vendor choices but does not control an independent third party's service, availability or content. Users must use only official links supplied through Correct.lk and should verify the domain before entering credentials or payment information.

16. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide reliable Services but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, internet or power failures, third-party outages, emergencies, regulatory requirements or events outside reasonable control may affect access. We may update features, security controls and Content, provided that paid users retain the material benefit of their purchase or receive an appropriate remedy where required.

17. Suspension and Termination

Correct.lk may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, account sharing, fraud, security risk, unlawful activity, child-safety concerns, serious or repeated misconduct, intellectual-property misuse or a material breach of these Terms.

Where practical and safe, we will explain the reason and allow the user or parent/guardian to respond or correct the issue. Immediate action may be taken to prevent harm, secure systems, preserve evidence or comply with law. Termination does not automatically create a refund and does not affect accrued payment obligations, intellectual-property rights or clauses intended to survive.

18. Disclaimers

Correct.lk provides educational support and does not guarantee a particular examination result, grade, admission, employment outcome or uninterrupted access. Results depend on many factors, including participation and individual effort. Content is prepared with reasonable care but may contain occasional errors or become outdated; please report suspected errors.

Nothing in these Terms limits a warranty, duty or remedy that cannot legally be limited.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Correct.lk will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Services. Any aggregate contractual liability relating to a paid programme will not exceed the fees actually paid for that affected programme during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of non-excludable consumer rights, unlawful handling of personal data, or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

20. Complaints and Disputes

Please first contact support@correct.lk with the User ID, programme, relevant dates and a clear description of the issue. We will attempt to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable time. Payment or privacy complaints may require separate identity verification.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Subject to any mandatory consumer right or agreed dispute process, Sri Lankan courts have jurisdiction. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution before commencing proceedings, except where urgent relief is needed.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or Service changes. The revised Terms will show a new effective date. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued consumer rights. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where legally valid; otherwise, we will obtain any additional agreement required.

22. General Terms

  • If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
  • A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • We may assign these Terms as part of a lawful business transfer, with appropriate protection of user rights and personal data. Users may not transfer their account or rights without written approval.
  • These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the applicable programme description and the published payment/refund terms form the agreement for the Services.
